Wunder Audio Blue Box PSU
The Blue Box PSU is the compact DC power supply for smaller Wunder Audio rack configurations — it powers up to 4 PEQ2R modules or up to 2 PAFOUR units, covering up to 8 channels of preamp and EQ from a single unit. For a project studio or a recording room running a focused Wunder Audio rack section, it delivers everything the Black Box does in terms of voltage architecture and monitoring, at a fraction of the size and weight.
Compact Footprint, Full Voltage Architecture
The Blue Box outputs two independent supply voltages: 24V DC for the audio circuitry and 48V DC for phantom power, each with a dedicated indicator LED so the status of both rails is visible at a glance. At 2" x 3¼" x 6½" and 3 lbs, it sits on a desk surface or inside a rack without requiring a dedicated 19" rack slot. Despite its size, it is designed with headroom above its rated maximum load — at 4 PEQ2R modules or 2 PAFOUR units, voltage delivery remains stable with no compression at the ceiling of its rated capacity. Connection to the first module requires the 5' DC Main Cable (sold separately); any additional modules chain off the previous unit via the 1' daisy-chain cable (sold separately).
Blue Box vs. Black Box: Choosing the Right PSU
The Blue Box is the correct choice for configurations up to 4 PEQ2R modules or 2 PAFOUR units — up to 8 channels total. That covers a standard project studio rack: two PEQ2R modules for 4 channels of preamp and EQ, or a single PAFOUR for 4 channels of preamp in 19" format. Once the rack grows beyond that threshold, the Black Box PSU takes over, handling up to 12 PEQ2R modules or 4 PAFOUR units. Both PSUs share the same DC cabling system — the 5' DC Main and 1' daisy-chain cables are fully interchangeable between the two.
