Universal Audio Apollo e2m Dante – a professional-grade networked audio interface operating as a Dante and AES67 endpoint. A stereo headphone amplifier with line I/O, powered entirely over Ethernet via PoE, with a built-in 5/8" mic-stand mount – a single Cat 5e cable replaces a separate power supply and analog cabling run.

A Dante endpoint without a power cable – wherever monitoring is needed

The Apollo e2m addresses a specific problem in networked studio and live setups: how to place personal monitoring and a stereo line return exactly where they're needed, without running XLR or power cables across a stage or through a studio. PoE removes the power cable entirely – a PoE-capable switch and a Cat 5e or Cat 6 patch cable is all that's required. The built-in 5/8" thread mounts the e2m directly to a standard mic stand at the musician's position. On the Dante network, it appears as a standard two-receive, two-transmit endpoint with channels configurable as stereo pairs or individual mono channels via Dante Controller. Routing latency is selectable at 1 ms, 2 ms, or 5 ms. AES67 interoperability is available at 48 kHz sample rate.

Analog I/O and monitor control in a single unit

Two balanced TRS line inputs accept signal from keyboards, amp emulators, drum machines, and playback devices, transmitting them onto the Dante network as output channels. Maximum input level is +18 dBu with 120 dB dynamic range and THD+N of -115 dB. On the output side: a stereo TRS pair for powered monitors or stage wedges, plus parallel 1/4" and 1/8" headphone outputs – both driven simultaneously by a single analog volume knob on the top of the unit. Independent mute switches for line and headphone outputs are provided separately. All Dante stereo inputs are routed to all analog output pairs without requiring additional internal routing configuration.

KEY FEATURES

  • Dante and AES67 network endpoint – 2 receive channels and 2 transmit channels
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) – single Cat 5e/Cat 6 cable for data and power
  • Built-in 5/8" threaded mount for standard mic stand placement
  • 2x balanced TRS 6.35 mm line inputs (IN 1/L, IN 2/R), max. +18 dBu, 120 dB dynamic range, THD+N -115 dB
  • 2x balanced TRS 6.35 mm line outputs (OUT 1/L, OUT 2/R), max. +14 dBu, 120 dB dynamic range
  • Parallel headphone outputs: 6.35 mm TRS + 3.5 mm TRS
  • Single analog volume knob for all outputs; independent mute switches (line / headphone)
  • Dante routing latency selectable: 1 ms / 2 ms / 5 ms (via Dante Controller)
  • Supported sample rates: 44.1 / 48 / 88.2 / 96 kHz; AES67 at 48 kHz
  • Managed via Dante Controller (Audinate) and UAD Console
  • Compatible with Apollo x16D and Apollo e1x in a Unison system
  • Power consumption: approx. 5 W typical, 7 W maximum
