Feedback Eliminator and Music Ducking – for gigs without a sound engineer
Two onboard functions address the two most common pain points at small venues and events running without a dedicated engineer. The Feedback Eliminator works continuously in the background, suppressing feedback frequencies before they build up – particularly useful with vocal microphones positioned close to the cabinet. Music Ducking automatically reduces the level of channel 2 (playback, backing tracks) whenever channel 1 detects an incoming signal: music steps down when someone speaks or sings, and returns when they stop – without touching a knob. Both features activate with a single button press, no menus or app required.
Flexible I/O and dual use: front PA and floor monitor
Channel 1 is a combo XLR/TRS with a Mic/Line switch and a dedicated Gain knob – it accepts a dynamic microphone or line signal directly, no adapter needed. Channel 2 adds a combo XLR/TRS plus a stereo 3.5 mm jack input, enough to connect a phone, tablet, or media player alongside a microphone or mixer in a single box. The balanced XLR Thru output passes the summed signal from both channels downstream to additional speakers in a daisy-chain. The enclosure's 40° angle lets the Thump212 be placed on its side as a floor wedge with no additional hardware – the Mackie logo on the grille rotates to indicate correct monitor orientation. A standard 35 mm pole socket handles stand mounting. The switching power supply covers all mains voltages from 100 to 240 V.
