Eve Audio SC3010 — a three-way active main monitor with a 10-inch woofer, 5-inch midrange and AMT RS6 ribbon tweeter, built for large recording, mastering and film production control rooms.
A 29 Hz-21 kHz (-3 dB) frequency response, 126 dB maximum SPL and 1300 W of total amplifier power give real headroom without dynamic compression even in a large room. Every driver runs off its own dedicated amplifier, and the AMT RS6 — 2.5 times larger than the smaller AMT units in Eve's range — allowed the crossover between midrange and tweeter to drop to 1800 Hz, right in the range that matters most for vocal and speech perception.
Room correction without an external processor
A single push-knob on the front panel gives access to a full set of DSP filters: a low-shelf filter below 300 Hz in 0.5 dB steps, a narrow-band EQ around 160-200 Hz to tame the typical low-mid buildup from console or desk reflections, and a separate Mid filter to compensate for reflections off walls and ceiling. Settings are retained even without power, so a calibration dialled in for a specific position doesn't need repeating on every power-up, and a Burr-Brown 24-bit/192 kHz A/D converter keeps the signal clean going into the DSP stage.
Headroom and power for large control rooms and cinema spaces
Three independent Class D amplifiers — two bridged modules driving the woofer, and separate sections for the midrange and AMT — deliver power suited to large-format mix and mastering rooms without compressing short, dynamic peaks. A stiffened 25 mm plywood front baffle and a 22 mm MDF cabinet damp enclosure resonance, and the midrange/tweeter module rotates 90 degrees to match dispersion to horizontal or vertical monitor placement.
