Erica Synths Hexinverter Mutant Machine is a module capable of generating various forms of analog percussion synthesis and other effects.
Like other Mutant Drums, Machine is based on classic analog percussion synthesis. While it can create unearthly sounds, it is still capable of reproducing classic house party kick drums and hi-hats from the TR-909 if desired. Machine does not have microcontrollers - all signals and waveforms are generated by discrete components and ICs for truly analog sound and interaction. Now the module has been reworked by Erica Synths in collaboration with Hexinverter Electronique and is equipped with a manual trigger.
