A keybed that doesn't lie
The Fatar TP/110 mechanism is the same hardware found in top-tier stage pianos. Arturia tuned it specifically for the mk3: every key registers strike velocity, release velocity, and aftertouch – both channel and per-note in compatible plugins. That distinction becomes immediately audible in pianissimo passages or sustained, expressive phrases with vibrato. For pianists and composers moving from acoustic or stage instruments into a DAW-centred setup, the KeyLab 88 mk3 removes any need to compromise on feel. No semi-weighted shortcuts here.
DAW and hardware control without lifting your hands off the keys
A 3.5" full-colour display (320×480 px) with 8 contextual buttons shows real-time DAW feedback directly on the controller. Nine 360° encoders and nine 50 mm faders are touch-sensitive – the controller detects bare contact, enabling DAW pickup mode without parameter jumps. Out of the box, the KeyLab 88 mk3 is pre-mapped for Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, and Bitwig Studio, with full MCU and HUI protocol support for everything else. Four dedicated pedal inputs handle sustain, modulation, expression, and an assignable fourth function – useful both in the studio and on stage. Connectivity is USB-C bus-powered plus MIDI DIN IN/OUT for hardware integration.
