Solton 15 CX-P is the newest two-way, 15-inch coaxial loudspeaker in the Solton lineup, marked as a new release in the manufacturer's current price list. A 15-inch low-frequency driver with a 3-inch voice coil in a coaxial arrangement delivers 800 W RMS at 8 ohms, putting it on par with the power rating of the established 15 CX-F and CX 15 Hi+ models from the same design family. An IP55 rating and a double-layer polyurea coating give it stronger resistance to moisture and dust than the fibreglass-coated enclosures used on earlier CX-series cabinets, which matters for outdoor installations running year-round.
A Higher Protection Class Than Earlier CX Models
An IP55 rating means full protection against dust and resistance to water jets from any direction, letting the 15 CX-P be mounted outdoors, on amphitheater roofs, or in stadium installations without an additional weatherproof housing. The double-layer polyurea coating is more mechanically durable than the classic fibreglass finish used on older CX-series cabinets, cutting the risk of damage during repeated mounting and dismounting on tour.
Mounting Hardware Ready for Fixed Installation
Nine M8 points and two M10 points give plenty of flexibility when choosing a mounting angle, and the included U bracket lets the cabinet be installed right away without ordering separate rigging hardware. That mounting set works equally well for stadium installations and smaller venues, where quickly adjusting the coverage angle without a follow-up service visit matters.
