Make Noise STO is an oscillator module for Eurorack format modular synthesisers. The STO is a compact voltage-controlled os cillator with alternating waves, sub-octaves, SYNC oscillator and linear FM , designed specifically for sine waves . This sub-octave oscillator has a slightly smoother character compared to the Make Noise DPO system and its complex sound structure.
One look is all it takes to generate STO noise:
- Triangular core with outputs for SINE, SUB and SHAPE
- The distinctive variable SHAPE circuit, which generates subtle timbre changes by taking into account even and odd harmonies
- Linear FM input with intensity control
- -Direct input (EXPOnential input) for partial FM sweeps, SYNC or sequence transposition.
- SUB oscillator with massive bass
- S-Gate input for gate or synchronisation with SUB oscillators, independent of other outputs
- Hard SYNC circuit, which in combination with Linear FM and Variable SHAPE generates harmonically rich sounds.
