IsoAcoustics V120 Truss Clamp 1.5" – an aluminium clamp that mounts the V120 isolation mount to 1.5" (38mm) truss, for flying studio monitors outside a fixed room.
Mounting a reference monitor directly on truss – in a mobile studio, on set, in a rehearsal room, or for a temporary install – risks structure-borne vibration feeding back into the cabinet and coloring the low end, the same way a poorly placed monitor on a desk does. The V120 Truss Clamp 1.5" handles this differently from a plain metal bracket: instead of a rigid connection, the clamp couples the monitor to the truss through the V120 isolation system rather than metal-on-metal contact.
Mounting without transferring structural vibration
The clamp attaches to the M10 thread on top of the V120 mount, once the standard ceiling plate is removed – the same mechanism that fixes V120 permanently to a ceiling here wraps around the truss and tightens with an adjustable knob. The result matches a ceiling install: structural vibration from the truss doesn't feed back into the monitor's cone, so the listening reference stays consistent whether the speaker sits on a stand or hangs above the mix position.Fast reconfiguration on the road
